Heat fans are quietly realizing it may be time for the unthinkable

"But we're not just talking about trading veterans for future assets. There's a scenario where the Heat may have to break up their core of Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo. This is a duo that has not had much success together recently, and one whose ceiling does appear a bit limited. Without Jimmy Butler, a Heat team led by Herro and Bam has been, at best, a .500 squad. That's simply not good enough."

Evidence suggests the Miami Heat should pursue a full roster rebuild to restore championship viability. The franchise has historically resisted hard resets, but limited assets and unsuccessful offseasons reduce chances of landing a superstar in free agency or trade. Trading veterans alone will not change the team's trajectory without a larger, transformative move. The current core of Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo has produced limited success and may have a capped ceiling; without Jimmy Butler the roster has performed at roughly a .500 level. A comprehensive rebuild could be the only feasible path back to contention.
