"In the closing seconds of the first quarter Gradey Dick flew in for an offensive rebound before turning in mid-air, culminating in him landing on his back and hitting his head on the floor. Dick immediately left the game and headed to the locker room for concussion protocol. He would not return to the game. When asked about Dick's status after the game, head coach Darko Rajakovic had this to say:"
"Gradey is feeling fine. We just kept him out of precaution ... we did not want to risk anything, but he's feeling fine. I will update you guys more when we find out more. Dick's return to play will depend on whether or not he is diagnosed with a concussion. If it is determined he does have a concussion, he cannot return to play for a minimum of 48 hours and must complete a required return-to-participation process."
Gradey Dick left the game after landing on his back and hitting his head while pursuing an offensive rebound in the first quarter. He entered concussion protocol immediately, did not return, and was held out as a precaution. Head coach Darko Rajakovic said Dick was feeling fine and that updates would follow. A diagnosed concussion requires at least a 48-hour absence and completion of a return-to-participation process. If no concussion is found, the team will continue monitoring and perform another evaluation about 24 hours after the initial check. Dick averages 6.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists with 40/32/85 shooting splits.
