Victor Wembanyama, a 22-year-old French basketball star, earned NBA Western Conference player of the month honors for February after leading the San Antonio Spurs to an 11-0 record. He also secured Western Conference defensive player of the month for the second consecutive time. During February, Wembanyama averaged 3.5 blocks per game and maintained a league-leading season average of 2.9 blocks. He ranked second in the Western Conference in defensive rebounds with 9.3 per game. Wembanyama joined the Spurs in June 2023 from French club Metropolitans 92, where he was considered a generational talent. Standing 2.21 meters tall, he combines center height with guard-like shooting and ball-handling skills. Additionally, Wembanyama purchased a minority stake in his boyhood club Nanterre 92, where he played between ages 10 and 17.
