Former Heat sharpshooter downplays 'Heat Culture' ahead of return
"In the building, it's really simple - it's about trying to maximize every day and put your best foot forward and take advantage of every opportunity. Something very similar exists here. It's not like it's some secret sauce, like it's not like it's totally different than what everyone else is doing. [Pat Riley] is a legend in legend in itself. But I was a beneficiary of the stability of that organization and being there for seven years."
"I think [Heat Culture] is one thing in the building and another thing outside the building,"
"I'm excited. It should be a fun experience."
Duncan Robinson signed a three-year, $48 million contract with the Detroit Pistons after seven seasons in Miami and will make his first return to Miami with Detroit. Robinson said Heat Culture feels different inside the building compared with outside, describing in-building focus on maximizing each day and taking advantage of opportunities. He also said Detroit shares similar cultural elements and credited Miami's organizational stability during his seven years there. The Pistons have built a strong culture under J.B. Bickerstaff, improving rapidly from 14-win seasons to a 15-4 start, while Robinson leads Miami's franchise in all-time 3-point makes.
