"Collins' career spanned 13 seasons, starting with seven in New Jersey before a midseason trade to Memphis in 2008. He went on to suit up for Minnesota, Atlanta, Boston and Washington, then closed out his career with a late-season return to Brooklyn in 2013-14. The 46-year-old came out as gay in 2013, making him the first active athlete in one of the four major North American professional sports leagues to take that step."
