An official pointed him out and had him escorted away from his seat near the court. Davis said he apologized to official Jeffrey Anderson and that he was sorry for distracting Michigan State's players. He apologized to fans, parents and children for failing to serve as a role model. He called coach Tom Izzo after the game. Izzo shouted at him during the game and said Davis's remark "should never say in the world" and "ticked me off." Davis played at Michigan State from 2002-06 and later in the NBA.
