Duke lost 71-68 to North Carolina on a last-second 3-pointer by Seth Trimble with 0.4 seconds remaining. Fans rushed the Smith Center court thinking time had expired before an official review added time, and security cleared the court for a final play. After the final play, fans stormed the court again, and at least one Duke staffer was struck, trampled and left with a bloody lip. The staffer is reported to be doing better. Athletic director Bubba Cunningham apologized, and the ACC fined UNC $50,000 for unauthorized people on the court.
