Davion Mitchell will make preseason debut Sunday against Magic
"On Sunday, ahead of their second of two preseason games against the Orlando Magic, the Heat will officially be getting back guard Davion Mitchell, according to the Miami Herald's Anthony Chiang. Mitchell missed the team's first three preseason gmes with calf soreness. Mitchell re-signed with Miami on a two-year, $24 million deal this offseason after being one of the Heat's best players down the stretch last year."
"On the other hand, it will be without fourth-year forward Nikola Jovic Sunday due to back soreness. Through three preseason games, Jovic's been one of the Heat's best players. He's averaged 7.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists across 18.9 minutes per game, shooting 43.8 percent from the floor with a 57.7 percent true shooting percentage. He did not travel with the team, which (likely) indicates Jovic will also miss the Heat's penultimate game Monday against the Atlanta Hawks in State Farm Arena."
Davion Mitchell will return to the Miami Heat lineup after missing the first three preseason gmes with calf soreness. Mitchell signed a two-year, $24 million deal after strong play down the stretch last season. Terry Rozier and Tyler Herro will miss the first month of the season following foot surgery. Norman Powell, Kasparas Jakucionis and Dru Smith have provided encouraging moments in the guard rotation during preseason. Nikola Jovic will miss Sunday’s game due to back soreness, has been productive through three preseason games, and did not travel with the team ahead of upcoming matchups.
