""You can't have a mistake like that as an official at that point in the game," Brown said."
""It's fourth quarter, it's a minute left in the game or less, and you completely -- the whole staff blows the f---ing call, you know what I mean? Cost us the game. Unacceptable.""
""During live play the crew observed George slip and fall just prior to Brown slipping on the same spot resulting in the ball becoming loose prior to any contact," he said."
The Boston Celtics lost 105-103 to the Utah Jazz after a late turnover created when Keyonte George slipped while defending Jaylen Brown. Brown tripped over George at the top of the key and lost the ball, allowing Walter Clayton Jr. to collect and throw an alley-oop to Lauri Markkanen for a 103-102 Jazz lead with 0:44 remaining. Brown reacted angrily, calling the missed call unacceptable and saying the crew blew the call and it cost the team the game. Crew chief Kevin Scott reported that officials observed George slip first and Brown slip on the same spot, making the ball loose prior to contact. The Celtics briefly tied the game on Neemias Queta free throws, but Jusuf Nurkic's turnaround hook with one second left sealed the win; Brown finished with 36 points and Boston fell to 3-5.
