Celtics pay tribute to 2024 champion Jrue Holiday in return
"Brought back good times,"
"Something like that -- for me, it felt like it was like that every single game. You play hard for this team and this city, and they definitely have your back."
"It's just like family. There's a normalcy to it,"
"You spend so much time with them that they become family and then just all of a sudden you're on a different team. So it's always good to see them."
Jrue Holiday returned to Boston to a champion's welcome, receiving cheers during warmups, an introduction ovation, and a standing ovation after a tribute video that showed him clutching the 2024 NBA championship trophy. The Celtics acquired Holiday before their title run but traded him and Kristaps Porzingis last summer to get under the league's second apron luxury tax. Boston leads the Atlantic Division and holds the No. 2 Eastern Conference seed while awaiting Jayson Tatum's possible return from an Achilles injury. Holiday missed two months with a right calf strain, is on a minutes restriction, and scored 14 points in 24 minutes.
