Bryce James will redshirt his freshman year at Arizona. James has not appeared in a game for the top-ranked Wildcats this season. The decision to redshirt was described as a long play to give Bryce the most options as his career unfolds. There is strong belief that Bryce will contribute at Arizona in the near future and that he has shown progress learning the system and physically maturing. James is a 6-foot-5 guard who arrived as part of a heralded freshman class that includes Koa Peat and Brayden Burries. The Wildcats are 22-0, the best start in program history, which has allowed the staff time to develop James. Bryce's older brother Bronny plays with their father LeBron James for the Los Angeles Lakers.
