Angel Reese apologized to teammates for remarks that were misconstrued and said language was taken out of context. She said she must be better with her language and grow from the situation. Coach Tyler Marsh confirmed a private conversation with Reese and declined to elaborate publicly. Reese was the No. 7 pick in the 2024 draft, averaged 13.6 points and a league-record 131 rebounds as a rookie, finished second in rookie-of-the-year voting, and is averaging 14.7 points and 12.6 rebounds this season with a second All-Star selection.
