"My mindset is always the same for every game and that's to kill and do whatever to win,"
"In this one, shots were falling more than usual and my teammates realized I was on pace to get the 100 so they kept feeding me the ball."
"Yeah, it's been pretty crazy, I never thought life would be this way,"
"These have been my first round of autographs, and it's been pretty cool."
Adrian Stubbs, a 5-foot-10 senior guard at Maryvale High School in Arizona, scored 100 points in three quarters during a 109-25 victory at Yuma Kofa on Jan. 13. Seventy of the points came in the first half, and Stubbs broke the Arizona single-game record of 75 points set by George McCormick in 1966. Stubbs maintained a fiercely competitive mindset while teammates continued to feed him as shots fell. The performance generated large social-media growth of more than 3,000 followers, autograph requests, and attention from past NBA players. Pepperdine, Pacific, Northern Arizona and Southern Utah have shown recruiting interest.
