2025 Home Run Derby Participants: Brent Rooker & Jazz Chisholm Jr. Complete Field
Briefly

Brent Rooker and Jazz Chisholm Jr. have been added to the list of participants in the 2025 Home Run Derby, completing the eight-player field. Rooker, making his Derby debut, expressed excitement on Instagram, marking his second All-Star Game selection. He represents the 10th player in Athletics history to compete in the event, aiming to join past A's winners. Chisholm also competes for the first time, representing the Yankees and adding to their overall appearances in the Derby.
"Competing in the Home Run Derby has always been a dream of mine," Rooker wrote in the caption of his announcement on Instagram. "Can't wait to make it happen next week in Atlanta! See ya there!"
Rooker was named among the American League reserve players for his second career All-Star Game selection. He's participating in the Home Run Derby for the first time as a Major League player.
Chisholm also is competing in the Derby for the first time in his career. He becomes the seventh different Yankees hitter to participate in the Derby, and the franchise's 10th appearance.
If Rooker is victorious this year, the A's having four Home Run Derby winners would tie with the Yankees for most in the event's history.
