Student employees honored for dedication, initiative | Cornell Chronicle
Briefly

The inaugural Student Employment Awards Ceremony at Cornell honored 12 students and one staff member for their significant contributions within Student and Campus Life. The event celebrated achievements such as enhancing communication systems and supporting dining services during union work disruptions. Keynote speaker Brandon Fortenberry emphasized the commitment and leadership of student employees, highlighting how their efforts enrich the campus community. The winners' nominations were forwarded to the National Student Employment Association, coinciding with National Student Employment Week, which celebrates student contributions across the United States.
Today, we celebrate not just the work of our student employees but the extraordinary ways they go above and beyond their academic responsibilities. Through these awards, we honor those who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, initiative and leadership.
Every year the National Student Employment Association designates a full week in April as National Student Employment Week and gives out five Student Employee of the Year awards.
