Sam Altman's Startup Brings Eyeball Scanning Orbs to the US | Entrepreneur
Briefly

Tools for Humanity, co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, is launching its eye-scanning Orb systems on a mass scale in the U.S. This innovative device allows users to scan their eyes to establish a unique digital identity in exchange for cryptocurrency tokens. The initiative aims to authenticate individuals as opposed to AI or bots. Six retail locations called World Spaces will open across various U.S. cities, alongside partnerships that aim to place 7,500 Orbs in the market by year's end.
."We needed some sort of way for identifying, authenticating humans in the age of AGI," Altman said at the event while explaining how the startup originated.
Tools for Humanity also partnered with Razer to bring Orbs to Razer's retail stores, aiming to have 7,500 Orbs in the U.S. by year-end.
