Queens soccer club to raise funds for childhood cancer research with head shaves and daring stunts
Briefly

New York International FC (NYIFC) is hosting a charity head-shaving event for childhood cancer research at Rivercrest in Astoria on April 3. Coach Nick Platt and three players will lead the effort aiming to raise $5,000 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation. They plan to engage in fun forfeits to encourage donations, including Platt dressing as a ballerina for raising $500, and potentially participating in a skydive if they meet their fundraising goals. This initiative seeks to raise both funds and awareness for childhood cancer research.
Bald is beautiful, especially when it's for a great cause! Players from NYIFC are trading their locks for a good deed, as they gear up to shave their heads in support of childhood cancer research.
Participating players and coaches will also take part in silly and humiliating forfeits if they reach certain personal and collective milestones along the way.
