Celebrating its seventh anniversary, the Charles Moffett gallery in New York is embarking on a new phase by moving to a larger location at 394 Broadway in Tribeca. This move signifies not just an expansion in space but also the gallery's commitment to growth, as they integrate new talents into their roster and enhance their overall offerings. The new 4,000 sq. ft. space will contain exhibition areas, offices, and a library, and will host its first show titled 'Longest Way Round' featuring various artists associated with the gallery.
"As our artistic programme and our gallery team expanded, we needed a larger, more unified space than what our previous set-up across two buildings allowed," Moffett tells The Art Newspaper.
The gallery worked with the New York-based firm Lang Architecture to renovate the space. For its inaugural show in this new home, the gallery will present a group exhibition, Longest Way Round (14 March-19 April), featuring artists who have exhibited with the gallery over the years.
