Exclusive | Michelle Trachtenberg's producing partner reveals their final conversation before her shocking death
Briefly

Michelle Trachtenberg, known for her role in 'Gossip Girl', tragically passed away on February 26 at the age of 39. Her death is surrounded by speculation as she had undergone a liver transplant recently, but her cause of death has been ruled 'undetermined' following family objections to an autopsy. In her final days, Trachtenberg was actively pursuing her screenplay, 'Toy Monster', depicting the tumultuous life of a playboy in the 1950s, with interest from major studios. Her producing partner, Casey Tebo, shared details of their conversations regarding potential directors for the film.
"My last conversation with [Michelle] was sending her director names to consider [for the movie]," Tebo exclusively told The Post.
The "Harriet the Spy" actress wrote "Toy Monster" around 2015, he said, adding that by 2017, "two of the biggest studios" were interested in the project.
Before her passing, Trachtenberg was shopping a screenplay she wrote, "Toy Monster," based on a book of the same name by Jerry Oppenheimer.
"It's a dizzying tale of jealousy soaked in whiskey and clad in '50s fashion," described Tebo about the screenplay.
