Alamo Drafthouse Strike Ends After Deal Is Reached in New York
Briefly

After a 58-day strike, workers from two Alamo Drafthouse locations in New York City are set to return to work following a deal with management regarding layoffs. The union, aligned with United Auto Workers Local 2179, ratified the agreement, which reinstates around 70 staff members and restores their accrued benefits. This agreement comes after the union alleged the management failed to bargain in good faith, leading to an unfair labor practice charge. As negotiations for their first labor contract continue, the workers’ return to their posts marks a resolution to this labor conflict.
