A new 'makerspace' is coming to Bushwick
Briefly

Brooklyn Spark is a new makerspace opening in Bushwick, New York, in mid-March, offering affordable memberships for local artists. It aims to alleviate the struggle for accessible studio spaces by providing a collaborative environment equipped with essential tools such as woodworking machinery, a kiln, sewing machines, and more. The space promotes creativity among artists of all skill levels and will include professional-led classes. Members will have 24/7 access pending a safety orientation, ensuring they use the equipment safely and effectively.
Amelie Oller, one of the artists behind the space, tells Time Out New York, "We want to make sure that the members have a good experience and tools available to them when they need them and don't have to wait hours and hours to use something."
Brooklyn Spark will open in mid-March at 75 Stewart Avenue near the Jefferson L stop and will offer space for local artists to work in.
