Ryan Serhant, a prominent New York real estate broker, is juggling his extensive business obligations, including filming for Netflix's 'Owning Manhattan' and participating in 'And Just Like That...'. Recently, he fulfilled a wish for a 16-year-old girl named Blanca, who is battling melanoma and dreams of becoming a real estate agent. Serhant and his team mentored her during an intensive real estate crash course, showcasing not only properties but also the inner workings of the trade, which differ significantly from what's shown on television. He emphasized the learning experience he gained from Blanca's perspective on real estate.
She led from, 'If I were to own this place,' instead of an, 'If you were to own this place.' I think people want to relate to the 'if I...' s. Coming from her, it obviously means a lot.
There's so much more to the service that viewers don't see. Owning Manhattan is a snippet of the most dramatic moments that happen over the course of the six months while we're filming.
I'm assuming it'll be sometime this summer but I really don't know. Netflix tells us [about] 30 days before.
Blanca underwent employee onboarding at the company's SoHo headquarters with Serhant's agent, Genesis Suero, before they took her to a $9 million Tribeca loft and $35 million Upper West Side townhouse - which she had to sell to the clients.
