Steve Doocy sold his New Jersey home for $1.8 million shortly after announcing his shift to Florida. He had been a co-host on 'Fox & Friends' since 1998 but expressed frustration with his early morning commute. Doocy listed his property on June 19, confirming his commitment to relocating. Though the home was listed slightly below the final price, it reflects a significant transition in his life. He plans to continue his role on the show in a part-time capacity and enjoys new beginnings with his family.
"After decades of getting up at 3:30 and driving into New York City in the dark, today is the last day I will host the show ... from the couch. I am not retiring; I'm not leaving the show. I'm still a host-but it's time for a change."
Doocy revealed in early May that he would be ending his decades-long run as a full-time star, after growing increasingly frustrated with his 3:30 a.m. commute from his Wyckoff abode to the network's Manhattan studio.
