With Cuomo polling in first place for the upcoming June 24 Democratic primary, his campaign has also attracted substantial donations from other wealthy supporters. Despite Cuomo's controversial resignation from governorship in 2021 due to harassment allegations, he is viewed favorably by many as a decisive leader, especially regarding public safety issues.

Ackman’s contribution supports Cuomo’s pro-super PAC ‘Fix the City, Inc.’, raising over $4.9 million, positioning Cuomo as a frontrunner in NYC's mayoral race.
