A tragic incident occurred in Queens where a 94-year-old woman was struck by a United States Postal Service van while crossing the street in a designated crosswalk. The van turned off a side street and collided with her around 5:30 p.m., as captured by surveillance footage. The impact caused her to buckle to the ground, and the van then drove over her, leaving her pinned underneath. She was later transported to Elmhurst Hospital and remains in critical but stable condition. The driver stayed at the scene, and currently, no charges have been filed against them.
