Briefly

The MTA has delayed the scheduled fare hike for the NYC subway, originally set for August, in response to public discontent. Many riders express frustrations regarding past fare increases and the perceived inadequate use of their fare money. Riders voiced opinions on the need for improvements; suggestions included having police officers present on trains and installing cameras in every car to enhance security and safety. Concerns about fairness in relation to fare pricing and subway conditions remain prevalent among New Yorkers.
"With the amount of money they put in and take from us it should get better," one rider told Migliore.
"It's a little expensive for the condition," another citizen said to Migliore.
"I see cops, but I think cops should be also on the train, not just in the station... I think there should be cameras on the train cars, in every car and somebody should watch what's going on."
