'Suspicious Devices' Found Outside Zohran Mamdani's Residence

"Suspicious devices were found near Gracie Mansion during an anti-Islam protest put on by conservative influencer Jake Lang. Photographers took pictures of one of the devices which is ovular and covered in silver duct tape. In other photos, one person was seen holding an item which was smoking -- before seemingly throwing it in the direction of police officers."

"Mamdani is NYC's first Muslim mayor and he's faced prejudice since first announcing his run for office last year. Radio personality Sid Rosenberg apologized earlier this week for calling Mamdani an 'America hating, Jew hating, Radical Islam cockroach running our once beautiful city.'"

Suspicious devices were found outside New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's residence during an anti-Islam protest organized by conservative influencer Jake Lang. Two individuals were taken into custody by the NYPD. Photographs documented one ovular device covered in silver duct tape and a person holding a smoking item before apparently throwing it toward police officers. The individual was subsequently handcuffed. It remains unclear whether Mayor Mamdani or First Lady Rama Duwaji were present. No injuries were reported. Mamdani, NYC's first Muslim mayor, has faced discrimination since announcing his candidacy, including recent inflammatory remarks from radio personality Sid Rosenberg.
