His experience illustrates that diverse ideas can contribute to effective solutions in governance, promoting broad consensus and meaningful action.
Serving as Deputy Administrator for the Brooklyn Democratic Party has given me a front-row seat to the complexity and beauty of public service. One of the most important lessons I've learned is that despite all our differences - especially in heavily opinionated New York City politics - people just want to be heard.
When we create space for real dialogue and when we move past 'either/or' thinking, we often find a path forward that's more inclusive and more effective. You don't always have to agree on everything to make progress.
This work has reaffirmed a truth that cuts across every diverse neighborhood in District 33. People want to live healthy lives, feel safe in their communities and have access to the resources they need to not just survive but thrive.
