Police search for woman accused of attacking MTA bus driver in East New York

On August 6, a woman allegedly attacked a 48-year-old MTA bus driver at Miller Avenue and New Lots Avenue in East New York by punching him in the face. The NYPD says it happened around 11 p.m. Aug. 6 at Miller Avenue and New Lots Avenue. Investigators say the woman walked up to the 48-year-old driver and punched him in the face before running away.
Paramedics took the driver to the hospital. He was injured but is expected to be OK.
Erica said she avoids public transit altogether because of violence. 'I avoid it 'cause of the violence. People are very violent, and that's why I just wouldn't take the bus,' she said.
Police describe the suspect as a woman in her 20s, last seen wearing a white and pink tank top, black tight shorts and glasses.
