Former Governor Andrew Cuomo is launching a third party, the Fight and Deliver Party, as he leads the Democratic primary by double digits. He aims to draw support from disillusioned Democrats, Republicans, and independents while maintaining the option to run as an independent if he loses the primary. Cuomo's decision coincides with his ongoing front-runner status. He believes that having an additional party line will bolster his chances against progressive challengers in the election. Cuomo's campaign must gather 3,750 signatures to secure a ballot position by the June deadline.
We will be responsive to those who want to support my candidacy, but who would like an alternate way to do it.
This November, in addition to securing the Democratic nomination, my campaign will work to build the largest possible coalition and secure the biggest possible mandate.
