In July 2024, responding to a 311 prostitution complaint in Jackson Heights, Queens, the officers disabled their body cameras, stole a building key, and later returned to find a woman with a customer. While one officer stood watch, the other stole money from the victim's purse and sexually assaulted her. The officers then resumed patrol without reporting the incident.
