"Federal authorities say in court documents that the two were on duty in the 115th Precinct the evening of July 19, 2024, when they responded to a call about prostitution at a building on 89th Street near Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights. When they arrived, according to the court filings, they noted the situation as resolved, shut off their body cameras and told a woman who was leaving to go back inside, where they stole a key to the building and cash from her purse."
"About eight hours later, just before 5 a.m., the officers returned to the brothel and used the stolen key to enter the premises, federal authorities allege. There, they found a woman naked in bed with a customer who fled, according to the court documents. Colon then stood by, federal authorities say, as McMillan stole approximately $200 from the woman's purse before approaching the naked woman from behind and groping her."
"Justin McMillan, 26, of Atlantic Beach, and Justin Colon, 24, of Long Island City, were both charged with conspiracy against rights and deprivation of rights under color of law. McMillan faces an additional count for the alleged sexual assault. Both resigned from the NYPD in March 2025."
Two former NYPD officers, Justin McMillan and Justin Colon, face federal charges for conspiracy against rights and deprivation of rights under color of law. McMillan additionally faces sexual assault charges. On July 19, 2024, while on duty at the 115th Precinct, they responded to a prostitution call, disabled body cameras, and stole a key and cash from a woman. Hours later, they returned using the stolen key, found a naked woman, and McMillan allegedly stole approximately $200 from her purse and sexually assaulted her. Both officers resigned in March 2025 and pleaded not guilty. State prosecutors initially pursued the case but it was dismissed on speedy trial grounds.
