Exclusive | Powerful NYC Democratic honcho is abandoning Mayor Eric Adams - to back ex-Gov. Cuomo
Briefly

Former Brooklyn Democratic Party leader Frank Seddio has withdrawn his support from embattled Mayor Eric Adams, citing a lack of re-election viability. Expressing loyalty to Adams throughout past campaigns, Seddio now believes Cuomo represents a better choice for New York City leadership despite Cuomo not formally declaring his candidacy. Seddio's main criticism of current progressive candidates centers on their inconsistent stances on policing. He anticipates backing Cuomo through his political organization, indicating a significant shift in Democratic support within Brooklyn.
I love Eric. I supported him for all his races - for state senate, borough president and mayor. But looking at the circumstances, I don't see a path where Eric could win.
Andrew is the best of all the other candidates. He has the managerial skills and experience to run the city.
The progressives running are nothing but hypocrites. They were for defunding the police and now all of a sudden they say we need more cops.
I think Andrew can provide the leadership with the public where the City Council will have to pay attention.
