Former Alameda County DA Pamela Price criticized the newly appointed DA Ursula Jones Dickson for undoing key reforms and accused her of corruption and nepotism. Price, who was recalled in November 2024, held a press conference highlighting concerns over Jones Dickson's first 100 days, specifically regarding a $33 million lawsuit dropped by Jones Dickson. Price argued that proper evidence and investigation were overlooked. Despite these tensions, she stated she will not seek to run for DA again nor launch a recall campaign against Jones Dickson.
Price, who told reporters she has no plans to run for Alameda County DA again or launch a recall campaign against the new DA, held a press conference Wednesday morning inside Everett & Jones BBQ in Oakland.
In late May, Jones Dickson dismissed a $33 million lawsuit Price filed last year against Radius Recycling and two employees for their role in a 2023 West Oakland fire that sent plumes of toxic smoke across the Bay Area.
