Christina White has been running Miami-Dade elections for a decade. That's ending
Briefly

Christina White, the former elections supervisor for Miami-Dade County, is transitioning from the Elections Department to become the head of the county's Parks and Recreation Department. White significantly contributed to the Elections Department, known for her effective management and swift delivery of election results amid challenges faced by neighboring Broward County. After opting not to run in the upcoming elections, she was succeeded by Republican Alina Garcia, who commended White's impact on the department. White's move back to work under her former colleague, Mayor Levine Cava, marks a new chapter in her long career in county government.
Garcia praised White for handing over a well-run and successful organization that continues to benefit from the systems and staff White had assembled since 2015.
Christina has done a great job at Elections. But you can't have two supervisors of elections,
White ran the office as the appointed elections supervisor for a decade under both Republican and Democratic mayors, earning praise for delivering Miami-Dade's election results early.
Now, White is coming back to the county government to work for her old boss, Levine Cava, a Democrat.
