"This defendant is accused of raping a woman who repeatedly told him to stop, and we will seek to hold him fully accountable. No one is above the law, especially those who are sworn to uphold it. I am grateful to the victim for her cooperation and to the NYPD for their thorough investigation."
"Morris and the woman were allegedly alone in a vehicle after the party when Morris engaged in sexual intercourse with her. According to court documents, she told him to stop multiple times and tried to push him away."
Daheem Morris, a 27-year-old NYPD officer assigned to the 73rd Precinct in Brownsville, was indicted on rape, sexual abuse, forcible touching, and sexual misconduct charges. The alleged assault occurred on September 28, 2025, when Morris and the victim, who knew each other for multiple years and shared mutual friends, attended the same party. After the party, they were alone in a vehicle where Morris allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with the woman despite her repeatedly telling him to stop and attempting to push him away. Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez emphasized that no one is above the law, especially those sworn to uphold it. Morris was released without bail and ordered to return to court on May 8.
