"Emir Balat, an 18-year-old counter protester, lit and threw an ignited device near the protest area. Witnesses saw flames and smoke as it traveled through the air before it hit a barrier and extinguished itself, according to police commissioner Jessica Tisch. Balat and another man tentatively identified as Ibrahim Nikk, 19, were arrested for handling and employing the devices."
"The NYPD Bomb Squad found to be jars wrapped in black tape with nuts, bolts, screws and hobby fuse that could be lit. The Bomb Squad is administering further testing to determine whether the devices were explosives or hoaxes."
