RFK Jr. says Covid-19 shot will no longer be recommended for healthy children and pregnant women
Briefly

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced the removal of the Covid-19 vaccine from the CDC's immunization schedule for healthy children and pregnant women. The decision comes amid scrutiny over vaccine recommendations, especially after the Biden administration encouraged additional vaccinations despite limited data supporting the booster strategy for children. This change reflects a broader shift in Covid-19 vaccine policies, including an FDA overhaul on vaccine approval processes, potentially restricting vaccinations to older adults and at-risk populations.
As of today, the Covid vaccine for healthy children and healthy pregnant women has been removed from the CDC recommended immunization schedule.
Kennedy announced the change in a video posted to the social media platform X.
The recommendation shift comes among other changes to Covid-19 vaccine policy, as the FDA said it's overhauling how it approves Covid-19 vaccines.
The Biden administration urged healthy children to get yet another covid shot, despite the lack of any clinical data to support the repeat booster strategy in children.
