"It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I think your jaw will hit the floor. It's not an exaggeration, prepare for your mouth and hit the floor. The mom of four added that Operation Shower does more than just gift special items to families. It also provides a profound sense of community to those who have had to relocate for assignment."
"The site of the event is being kept private, as it has been in years past, because it's military-related. Ryan is a diehard Isles fan who was inspired to work the event after being overwhelmingly showered by the team while her Coast Guard husband was deployed a few years ago. It is the most beautiful shower in the United States."
The New York Islanders are partnering with Operation Shower to host a surprise baby shower for more than two dozen expecting military mothers stationed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey. The event location remains confidential due to security concerns for armed forces personnel. While attendees know an event is planned, they are unaware of its full scope and generous gifts. MSG Network reporter Shannon Hogan and player wives will attend alongside military members from the New York National Guard and US Coast Guard. Operation Shower has supported over 10,000 families nationwide, providing not only gifts but also community connection for military families who have relocated for assignments and lack local family support networks.
