The Nassau County district attorney's office is searching for potential victims in a case involving Sanjai Syamaprasad, charged for secretly recording coworkers and patients in bathrooms at the Northwell Sleep Disorders Center. An attorney representing class action lawsuit victims has sent out 13,000 letters to patients treated between October 2022 and April 2024. Allegations detail the use of a spy camera disguised as a smoke detector in multiple bathrooms, leading to hundreds of recorded individuals. Syamaprasad is pleading not guilty and faces additional investigation for similar offenses in Manhattan.
A court hearing was held Thursday in the case of Sanjai Syamaprasad. The 47-year-old was charged back in April after prosecutors say he secretly took videos of co-workers and patients.
