Councillor Sarah Ruiz expressed satisfaction and relief for families after the often anxious selection process, emphasizing Newham's exceptional educational standards with over 32% of schools rated 'outstanding' by Ofsted. The achievements of Year 6 pupils rank the borough fourth nationally in literacy and numeracy, showcasing the quality of education in Newham.
Cllr Ruiz stated, 'After what can be an anxious wait, we are delighted the vast majority of our families will be happy with the news today.'
Cllr Ruiz expressed confidence that regardless of the school choice, 'parents can be confident they'll have access to the best education, where pupils can build friendship networks and flourish as they learn.'
