Here are the 10 worst deadbeat dads in Suffolk County - and what the sheriff wants for Mother's Day
Briefly

Suffolk County has publicly named its ten worst deadbeat dads, collectively owing nearly $1.5 million in child support. The announcement, made before Mother's Day, aims to highlight the financial struggles faced by single mothers left to support their children alone. Sheriff Errol Toulon emphasized that these unpaid child support responsibilities have broad effects, denying children essential needs. The 'Wall of Shame' displays the names and debts of the offenders, which could lead to garnished wages, property seizures, or jail time if they do not fulfill their obligations.
We are talking about thousands of dollars that could have gone to food, clothing, doctor's appointments, or school supplies for the children - not just children, but their children.
A lot of times, a two-income household dissolves, and then the mother is left there holding the bag - financially and emotionally - and then there are men that take advantage of this system and choose not to pay or be responsible.
The Wall of Shame, displayed at the sheriff's office in Yaphank, includes the names, photos, and last known cities of each of the 10 men, along with the amount they owe.
It's really the children that we are concerned about, and we've taken this step to ensure that these men face the consequences of their inaction.
