A group of about two dozen anti-ICE protesters gathered in the lobby of Trump Tower, demanding the release of inmates from the El Salvadoran prison CECOT. Chanting slogans and refusing to leave, they were ultimately arrested by NYPD officers after multiple dispersal orders. The protest highlighted calls for justice for migrants deported from the U.S., as well as American citizens held in overcrowded conditions. The NYPD confirmed that 24 demonstrators were taken into custody, though charges were not immediately processed.
