"You want to be as far east as you can get," Dr. Jackie Faherty, astronomer at the American Museum of Natural History, remarked, highlighting ideal viewing locations for Manhattanhenge.
Hunter's Point South Park in Long Island City is the only outer-borough spot officially endorsed by NYC Parks for Manhattanhenge, offering stunning reflections of the sunset over the East River.
Dr. Faherty said, "It's got a really good long view" about Gantry Plaza State Park, emphasizing its suitability for experiencing the Manhattanhenge spectacle.
On Roosevelt Island, the southern tip at Four Freedoms Park provides a centered view of Manhattanhenge, making it one of the best spots for the event.
