Season 24 of American Idol ended with two finalists after Keyla Richardson was eliminated in the Monday night finale. Judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Ritchie, and Luke Bryan watched the season’s performances and saw the finalists reach the end. Hannah Harper was crowned the new American Idol on Monday night. Harper, a Missouri wife and mother of three, became the first female country singer since Carrie Underwood in season four to win. After the win, Harper performed one final time with confetti and joined by fellow contestants and judges, then planned a tour with breaks before frequent weekend performances.
