SXSW 2026: Wind gusts couldn't shake the acts at the De Los showcase
"The stage is my favorite place to be. If I could do that every night I would. We've always been here. Latinos have always been an essential part of the fabric of this country, and the future's really bright for us."
"Musica mexicana has always been there, will always be there and we are going to keep uplifting it. I don't know if I add my own style, but I do add more sen[sitivity to the genre]."
Five Latin music performers—Nezza, Eddy, Tropa Magica, Vanita Leo, and Hermanos Espinoza—performed at the De Los showcase during South by Southwest at Mala Fama in downtown Austin despite 30 mph winds. Colombian Dominican singer Nezza performed unreleased acoustic track "Stop the Show" and shared her passion for performing, emphasizing Latino contributions to American culture. Mexican música artist Eddy, in his second public performance, performed corrido covers and expressed commitment to uplifting the genre. Each act brought distinct musical styles, showcasing Latin music's diversity and vitality.
