New York pop trio Kassie Krut would like to introduce themselves
Briefly

Kassie Krut, a New York noise-pop trio, introduces themselves with their debut EP single "Reckless." The song features a playful chant reminiscent of the Monkees' self-introduction. Lead vocalist Eve Alpert explains that while they don't intend to directly emulate past influences, they embrace a sense of fun in announcing their project. Alpert and co-founder Kasra Kurt, who share a long musical history, pivot from their previous band Palm to explore UK styles such as grime and dubstep, reflecting their growth and desire to evolve as artists.
"If you ask me who I wanna be/ I'mma spell it out so it's plain to see," lilts Eve Alpert, joined by Kasra Kurt in their debut single's playful tone.
"After 10 years of touring... we wanted to grow beyond that," Alpert recalls, referencing their previous band Palm's decision to take a break.
