"'Black Site' features lyrics that express feelings of confinement and frustration, stating, 'when they lock me in the black site, here's the music to put on.'"
"'I boycotted everything / nothing got better, it only got worse / and now I don't know where to buy soap' captures a sense of disillusionment in modern life."
Cheekface's sixth album, Podium, is set for release on July 28. Collaborators include Teddy Roxpin and Jer Hunter. The album features the single 'Hostile Street' and a new track titled 'Black Site.' The lyrics of 'Black Site' reflect themes of confinement and disillusionment. Cheekface will embark on a US tour from August to October, with performances alongside Catbite and Apes of the State.
