Carlos Santana experienced a medical emergency related to dehydration during a soundcheck ahead of a concert in San Antonio. Consequently, the show was postponed, yet his ongoing US tour is expected to continue as planned. Manager Michael Vrionis confirmed Santana's good condition and expressed gratitude for fans' understanding. This incident mirrors previous health issues Santana faced due to heat exhaustion. Following the spring tour, Santana will resume his Vegas residency before heading to the UK and Europe later in the summer.
"Out of an abundance of caution and the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action," said manager Michael Vrionis.
Santana, who just landed at No. 16 on Consequence's list of the 100 Best Guitarists of All Time, will continue his US tour as scheduled.
