"The 2026-27 season is a celebration of everything our audiences love about Broadway San Jose, welcoming back beloved favorites while introducing some of the most exciting new hits to arrive from Broadway. We can't wait to share these unforgettable stories, spectacular productions, and thrilling performances with our community."
"It's Disney's first North American touring production of the smash hit musical in over a quarter of a century. Next up is Andrew Lloyd Webber's legendary The Phantom of the Opera. This Phantom is being billed as a revitalized new production from iconic producer Cameron Mackintosh, who has been involved with this Webber play from its very inception in the mid'-'80s."
"As the calendar turns to 2027, Broadway San Jose has two big shows based on hit movies. The company's first production of the new year is The Bodyguard, based on the smash Whitney Houston/Kevin Costner vehicle of the same name from 1992. Next up is the story Mrs. Doubtfire, based on the Robin Williams hit from 1993."
Broadway San Jose announced its 2026-27 season featuring six blockbuster musicals and three additional productions at the Center for the Performing Arts. The season opens with a new production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast in September, marking the first North American touring production in over 25 years. October brings Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, a revitalized production from producer Cameron Mackintosh. November features The Who's Tommy, a rock musical adaptation. The new year includes The Bodyguard in February, based on the Whitney Houston film, followed by Mrs. Doubtfire, adapted from the Robin Williams movie. The season concludes with The Notebook, based on the 2004 romantic drama.
